Optical Sorcery is the vision of the young vibrant artist Darren Hiles
He has spent many years honing his skills in 2 and 3 dimensional artwork and brings his vision to you here. Ranging in images and styles Darren is an extremely versatile artist with many different influences and as a result his images range in their scope from ancient times right up to modern and science fiction inspired scenes. Darren also lets his subconcious side really fly free by creating 3 Dimensional abstract pieces, fractals and beautiful landscapes.
The fractals Darren creates are alive with colour and draw you in looking for the repetitions and unusual likenesses to other more familiar objects by the mind's wanting to make order from chaos.

Just as full of vibrancy, colour and complexities are Darren's abstract pieces. These are not abstract in the modern terms, as in splashings of paint on canvas with lengthy descriptions to explain their meaning, Darren's abstracts stand alone, proud of the nothing they represent. Some are dark and packed with lines, curves and lights; others are lighter, simpler and clearer. Which ever side of your psyche appreciates art there will be a piece that will sing to you and draw you into it.
Finally we come to the landscapes, drawn completely from the artists imagination these created worlds ring true to spectacular visions all over the planet and beyond. Having never left the United Kingdom Darren draws deep on his own subconcious and ability to "see" the landscape before it is created. Textures and colours abound as well as intense sunsets and sunrises.
